about

This title was taken from the songfight.org songwriting challenge. I liked exploring that "look the other way" feeling/moment. Maybe I didn't hit it head on, but it definitely intrigued me.

Written September 2019

lyrics

I don't know why she never said goodbye
If it was me or if she found some other guy
Don't know what I did so wrong
Or that she'd stay away this long
I guess I never realized

I guess I'll never truly understand
Why she packed up all her shit and ran
I keep thinking that I missed a clue
In the things she would say or do
I guess I wasn't in her plans

I saw her on the street today
She turned and looked the other way
Long story short she doesn't love me anymore

I like to think we could've stayed friends
Maybe visit every now and again
Long story short she doesn't love me anymore

I saw her on the street today
She turned and looked the other way
Long story short she doesn't love me anymore

I like to think we could've stayed friends
Maybe even visit every now and again
Long story short she doesn't love me anymore
Long story short she doesn't love me anymore
